Jersey College for Girls Chamber Choir singing at Evensong at Westminster Abbey

The ‘Evensong’ is a prayer service, lasting approx. 40 minutes that is traditionally held near to sunset. It is the central service within the Church of England, dating back to 1549, when the Book of Common Prayer was created. It has a very large musical element. Being invited to perform at this event is a great honour and experience for the choir.

We would like to invite you to also celebrate this wonderful event with us and the JCG Chamber Choir.  We have designed a package for alumni and parents of the choir which we hope you will enjoy.

Itinerary

  • Private guided walking tour of Westminster Abbey (14:30-16:30)
  • Evensong service (17:00-17:40)
  • Dinner & a glass of wine at the Tattershall Castle on the Thames (18:00-22:00)
