Collection: Biomedical Programme

Our Biomedical Summer Programme is designed for students who are curious about or already considering a future in any area of the biomedical sciences.

Throughout the week, students learn directly from local professionals as well as experts from leading UK universities, Jersey General Hospital and Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust.

Together, they offer students a realistic insight into what these careers involve day to day and the many different pathways into them. As they build these connections, students may also find opportunities for future work experience or further involvement.

As well as learning through first hand experience, you will be part of the real world of biomedical sciences. You will take part in:

  • Hands on heart dissection and suturing techniques
  • Brain dissection with leading UK neuroscientist Dr Sutton
  • Guided visit to the Jersey General Hospital Pathology Department
  • Operations Department practical workshops
  • Marine biology on the beach

Location: Jersey College for Girls, Jersey, UK
Dates: 20th to 25th July 2026 (inclusive)
Participants: Students aged between 15-18 years old
